My personal style was born of my unique heritage and culture. Reflected in my mom's handcrafted artisan earrings paired with my favorite designer dress, to my camouflage cargos that remind me of my nomadic army brat childhood. As a teenager I learned to celebrate core pieces in my closet and refresh outfits by borrowing from both my mother and sister. These cross generational borrows contributed to my eclectic signature style . If I could not find the right pant or top to complete a look, my mother would help me re-design one of my favorite pieces. I understood the value of transforming your existing closet and repurposing clothes at an early age. My early sustainability practices were mostly attributed to the emotional connection I had to my clothes and less about the environment. Each piece was a singular expression of me (or who I aspired to be)and told a story. It was inevitable that my career would be in the Fashion Industry, working for top contemporary brands and helping women tell their Style Stories . I dressed women during all stages of womanhood. Fashion accompanies women on our journeys , empowering and supporting us along the way. I listened to women share their desire to weave their story and personalities into their style choices and understood the importance of diversity in Fashion. We needed more choices more sizes and more silhouettes. There were simply too many style stories to share , and not enough options for women to speak to their style and express their truth. I decided it was time for me to share a few of my favorite things and contribute to the closet . I hope you find something here that will help you tell your Style Story , as all stories deserve to be heard.
